 Dr. Cotton trained as an internist at The Johns Hopkins
Hospital and has practiced and taught both law and medicine. He has given
more than 2000 medical-legal presentations during which he has fielded
more than 20,000 physician questions. Drawing from these experiences, Dr.
Cotton created our material using a clinically relevant, pathophysiologic
approach.
The material is best used by starting with the core modules, but was
created so that any module can be used as a stand alone piece. Unless a
physician has a preference, Dr. Cotton recommends starting with “The Doctor-Patient
Relationship” and “The Standard of Care,” as these modules address 90%
of the 20,000 questions which he has answered.
