Dear Visitor:

I want to personally welcome you to our website and thank you for visiting. If you are a physician or other healthcare provider, I understand your frustration with the impractical and incorrect medical-legal information that you are constantly receiving. In fact, it was my own frustration with this type of medical-legal advice which led me to found this company.

In my twenty years as a physician, I have never seen a clinical area which has as much unfounded, contradictory and detrimental information as legal medicine. To some extent, this phenomenon should not be surprising, as much of the material is developed by non-physicians, most of who also have little to no legal training. As a result, the prevailing risk management theories have become so inaccurate, burdensome and demeaning, that physicians would be better off from a legal perspective to simply ignore all of it and resort to relying on their professional experience and judgment. Fortunately, this is what most of us are already doing.

In contrast to the prevailing messages of discouragement, I believe the physician is the greatest medical-legal risk manager ever created. We deal with serious illness and death on a regular basis and treat patients who have easy access to the legal system, yet we are able to avoid malpractice litigation almost entirely. Although this is remarkable, I believe that with the proper information, we can do even better and have assembled the material to help you do so. At the very least, I believe that we can stop all of this needless worrying about the law.
