A Message from Victor Cotton, MD, JD

Anne L. Lehman Dillman, JD
Vice President

Anne L. Lehman Dillman received her BA in English from Yale University, and her JD from The Catholic University of America. Prior to joining Law & Medicine, Anne practiced business law for a national law firm, focusing her practice in securities and mergers and acquisitions.

Why I joined Law and Medicine:

Dr. Cotton's skill set is unmatched in the industry. His message is powerful because he has been there - he has faced the difficult medical-legal dilemmas he addresses in the Law & Medicine material. His message is encouraging because he truly believes in practicing medicine for the best interest of the patient. He is singular in his ability to synthesize the law and medicine into terms a physician can use in daily practice. I joined Law & Medicine because I believe Law & Medicine's positive, invigorating message can help physicians regain the freedom to practice medicine, to help patients, again.

Barb J. Horne
Director of Sales & Marketing

Barb J. Horne received her BS from West Virginia Wesleyan College, and has more than a decade of sales and marketing experience in medical education.  Before joining Law & Medicine as Director of Sales and Marketing, Barb represented clients including pharmaceutical companies, national medical associations, physician group practices, as well as metropolitan and community hospitals.

Why I joined Law and Medicine:

I have known and worked with Dr. Victor Cotton for over ten years. During this time I have realized that his desire to educate other physicians is not matched. What is so unique about him and his message is that he speaks from experience; he has been by the bedside and in the courtroom. I trust Dr. Cotton's knowledge, empowering message, and desire to provide an educational resource that will assist healthcare providers in the medical-legal challenges they face every day. Along with a great team of people, I joined Law & Medicine to combine my experience in helping individuals and organizations with Dr. Cotton's message to create a positive balance in the areas of law and medicine. One commitment I have made to our organization is to be dedicated to our customers. I believe our product is the answer to pressing risk management questions & concerns and will allow healthcare providers to practice without worry.

Gina S. Breslin
Director of Education & Operations

Gina S. Breslin received her BS in Education from Eastern Mennonite University, with an emphasis in health, physical education and exercise science. In the years immediately prior to joining Law & Medicine, Gina participated as an owner and worked in an executive management capacity in the hospitality industry. Gina joined Law & Medicine in 2006 as the Director of Education and Operations.

Why I joined Law and Medicine:

I believe in Dr. Cotton's uplifting and positive medical-legal message which empowers physicians to practice medicine in an atmosphere that is not oppressive and relieves, rather than adds to, their burden of medical-legal risk.  His dedication to improving healthcare, by providing the medical community with pointed and practical solutions to everyday problems is remarkable.

With my experience and background in education, I especially appreciate Dr. Cotton's ability to give straightforward answers to medical-legal questions. In his curriculum and educational packages he establishes clear objectives and assesses the learning outcomes which set the course for immediate implementation of the risk reduction strategies.
